Northern Technical University organizes a panel discussion on combating extremism and intellectual isolation, security culture, and the role of the student in protecting the security of society and the state

Under the auspices of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the Department of Media and Public Relations, in cooperation with the Follow-up Department at the University Presidency, organized a panel discussion on combating extremism, intellectual isolation, security culture, and the role of the student in protecting the security of society and the state. The lecture was delivered by:

  • Sheikh Muhammad Hassan / Deputy of the Council of Rabat Muhammadi Scholars and Preacher of Sheikh Fathi Mosque.
  • Mr. Salah Seddik Yahya / Director of Relations of the Community Guidance Center against Violence.
  • Dr. Fathi Ali Fathi / Ph.D. in Law.

A large number of university employees and students participated in the episode, and the episode addressed several themes, namely:

The concept of extremism, manifestations of extremism, the effects of extremism, youth, and extremism

Fighting extremism and intellectual isolation

Security culture

The role of the student in protecting the security of society and the state

Action Plan to Prevent Violent Extremism

After the discussion session, on behalf of the university president, the assistant president of the university for administrative affairs, Prof. Dr. Thanoun Younes Thanon, honored the lecturers with a certificate of appreciation in appreciation of their efforts in enriching the seminar.
