Within the policy of building bridges and cooperation with scientific institutions and under the direct sponsorship of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the Nineveh Center for Consultation and Research (NCCR), in cooperation with the Northern Technical University, the Women’s Department and the Community Police Department in Nineveh Governorate, organized a dialogue session entitled “Women’s Empowerment and Strengthening Their Capabilities in Nineveh Governorate – Everyone’s Responsibility

The dialogue session included two separate sessions, where the first session was titled “The Importance of Women’s Empowerment and Their Participation in Public Life” and the second session was entitled “The Role of Government Agencies in Enhancing the Empowerment of Women in Participation in Public Policies.”

The session aimed to:

Defining pathways and mechanisms to support and empower women and their participation in decision-making and exercise their leadership role in society and combating violence against women and striving to achieve equal opportunities for women in the field of education and concerted efforts in the field of women’s empowerment and striving to provide economic opportunities and sustainable development for society in which women are an essential partner.

A number of officials and women’s empowerment committees in government departments in Nineveh Governorate and activists participated in the dialogue session.
