Northern Technical University and the Norwegian Refugee Council, in cooperation with the International Trade Center, organize a workshop entitled “Market Awareness Workshop” (Tomatoes)

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the Northern Technical University and the Norwegian Refugee Council, in cooperation with the International Trade Center, organized a workshop entitled “Market Awareness Workshop” (Tomatoes) within the SAAVI project implemented by the Norwegian Refugee Council and the International Trade Center (ITC) and funded by the European Union (European Union), the workshop was attended on behalf of the President of the Northern Technical University, the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Thanoun Younis Thanoun, the Dean of the Agricultural Technical College, Dr. Abdel Barr Ahmed Nouri, and the Head of the Plant Production Techniques Department at The Agricultural Technical College, in addition to a number of graduate students and the head of the Agricultural Division in the presidency, in addition to representatives from the Norwegian Refugee Council and the International Trade Center, a number of distinguished tomato growers, representatives of the Organizations Committee in the Nineveh Governorate Office and representatives of the Nineveh Agriculture Directorate and Hamidat Agriculture Division (Badush) And representatives of the Carrefour company and some owners of the highest salaries in the city of Mosul, during the meeting, the reality of agriculture was shed light on The challenges facing farmers, the support provided by the government, the problem of lack of rain, providing solutions to obstacles and overcoming difficulties in order to reach a working formula for establishing an alliance between crop producers (the tomato crop in particular) and buyers (Carrefour and local buyers) in order to ensure the marketing of crops for the purpose of making a profit for all chains factors (producer, buyer, marketer, consumer).
