Under the auspices, supervision and attendance of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, and on the occasion of International Women’s Day, and as a contribution from the university in strengthening the role of women in society, the Women Empowerment Unit and the Department of Media and Public Relations at the University Presidency organized the first meeting of women leaders in the presence of a delegation from the Iraqi Parliament / Nineveh Office / Mr. Kamal Salem Al-Juboori / Jareer Muhammad Saeed, Mr. Dawood Abdul-Moneim Al-Sanjari, the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, the Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Rafea Mahmood, the deans of the faculties, a number of artists and artists, the official of the Mosul churches, the representative of the university presidents in Nineveh, the women deans of the College of Nineveh and Mosul Universities and a representative of Mr. The Governor of Nineveh, the media officials in Nineveh Governorate, and a large gathering of female teachers, female employees and students of the university.

The forum began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, then the playing of the national anthem, followed by the recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq. Then the President of the University gave a speech on the occasion in which she welcomed the distinguished guests throughout the university and said that our meeting today is an occasion dear to our hearts, which is International Women’s Day. We celebrate the mother, wife, and sister. And the girl, an international day held to signify respect for women and appreciation of their role in society on various political, economic, social, and cultural levels. Intellectual knowledge in all Islamic eras had a leading role in providing this life with a distinguished knowledge product in various scientific fields. She congratulated the female colleagues from the academic and professional families on their Valentine’s Day, praising and appreciating the role of the organizers of this distinguished festival.

 After that, the most important achievements of the university were presented by the assistant president of the university for scientific affairs, after which the discussion of the working papers presented electronically and in-person began. Representative Sheikha Zayed, as well as from Denmark, also participated with us from the Kingdom of Bahrain and via cyberspace. In it, we reviewed the success story of a creative woman who was able in a record time to advance the university at all levels. The forum included the presentation of bouquets by representatives of university presidents and deans of the faculties of the universities of Nineveh and Mosul, honoring many distinguished women of the Mosul community and the university’s distinguished and retired women.
