Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Shahla Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Qader, Dean of the Technical Institute of Mosul, the Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies organized a workshop entitled “Energy support and reducing polluting emissions to the environment” delivered by:

• Mrs. Fatima Nizar Mahmoud
• Mr. Ali Yunus Saleh
• Mrs. Ghufran Mohammed Saadi

Aim of the workshop:

1. Know the sources of environmental pollution
2. The effect of pollution on human health
3. Finding environmentally friendly alternative sources.

The workshop made several recommendations:

1. Reducing factory gas emissions to reduce the resulting environmental pollution
2. Use of renewable energy to a large extent to provide energy sources
3. Resorting to alternative methods of energy production, taking into account the problems resulting from them, and trying to reduce them.
