Mosul Technical Institute organizes a scientific workshop on (mechanical properties that can be obtained by the process of friction of metal surfaces)

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Mosul Technical Institute, Assistant Professor Shahla Abdel Wahab Abdel Qader
The Department of Mechanical Technologies organized a scientific workshop entitled (mechanical properties that can be obtained by the process of friction of metal surfaces)
Present at the workshop:
Muhammad Taqi Elias Qassem/ Head of Mechanical Technologies Department
It was attended by a number of the institute’s employees.
The workshop dealt with:-
(The benefits of friction in the processes of modifying metal surfaces through the use of the friction mixing process).
The workshop came out with several recommendations, including:
1- Organizing a workshop on the use of theoretical methods such as the finite element method (FEM) to analyze the stresses generated during mixing processes at rotational and linear velocities.
different.
2- Organizing a workshop in the study of temperatures in the friction mixing area and regions
Close to it during frictional mixing processes for different rotational and linear speeds and different shapes of the stitching tool, and the comparison between the temperatures generated in different cases.
3- Organizing a workshop on the effect of heat treatment processes after friction mixing processes to obtain more homogeneous granules to improve the microstructure and mechanical properties of heat treatable aluminum alloys.
4- Organizing a workshop to study the effect of other factors for frictional mixing processes of aluminum alloy (6061-T6), such as corrosion resistance in different environments, fatigue of the welding area, and durability using different rotational speeds and linear speeds.
