Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Shahla Abdel – Wahab Abdel – Qader, Dean of the Technical Institute of Mosul, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit of the Department of Mechanics of Power held a workshop entitled (unemployment and its effects on youth)

The workshop dealt with several topics related to the issue of unemployment and its negative aspects, including:

1. Problems that occur in the family environment as a result of the lack of daily life necessities as a result of unemployment.
2. The reluctance of young men and women to marry and not form a family as a result of unemployment.
3. An increase in the number of child beggars as a result of the widespread unemployment of parents.

The lecture was given by Mrs. Shaima Muhammad Yunus.

The workshop aims to discuss the impact of unemployment and its negative effects on youth.

The workshop made several recommendations:

1. The need for the state to create work outlets for young people.
2. State cooperation with civil society organizations.
3. Urging the rich to set up productive projects.
