Ministerial Committee for Evaluating Research Centers Visits the Renewable Energy Center in Kirkuk

The Renewable Energy Center in Kirkuk received the Ministerial Committee for Evaluating Research Centers, in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs. The visit aimed to monitor and assess the performance of research centers affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and to review their operational status and scientific programs.

The visit included a field tour of the center’s laboratories and various departments, during which the committee reviewed key research projects implemented in the field of renewable energy, particularly those related to solar and wind power, as well as the modern technologies used in this sector.

The committee also discussed with the center’s management and researchers ways to develop research activities and strengthen cooperation with academic and industrial institutions, in a manner that supports sustainability efforts and ensures the optimal utilization of clean energy resources.

The committee commended the efforts of the scientific staff at the center, emphasizing the importance of supporting such institutions due to their active role in serving society and keeping pace with global advancements in renewable energy.
