Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the Department of Electronic Technologies at the Technical Institute / Kirkuk organized an online scientific workshop entitled) :Benefits of using CNC machines(.

The lecture was delivered by:

Assistant teacher Zainab Shukr Mahmoud Khader.

The workshop dealt with:

• A detailed explanation of all the things that the user needs about CNC machining
• How CNC machines work
• What are the advantages and disadvantages of CNC machining

The workshop aims to:

Developing and modernizing large machines in laboratories with modern technology in production processes in order to increase the production line with high accuracy.

As well as getting acquainted with CNC manufacturing in its new form, which is a form of modern manufacturing through its offers with greater efficiency and accuracy, thus providing significant improvements over the traditional methods of modern manufacturing. This means that companies using CNC machining save costs in terms of labor and time, which increases future profitability.

The conclusions that came out of the workshop:

Updating a modern curriculum in the electronic and mechanical departments in order to develop the technical and technological skills of academic competencies and transfer them to students to benefit from them in the labor market after graduation.

A group of instructors and engineers from the university’s formations and outside, and owners of computer technology companies, participated in the workshop.
