Northern Technical University introduces new departments and attracts scientific expertise…

Proceeding from bearing responsibility, sincerity, and dedication to work and keenness for the scientific advancement of the Northern Technical University to reach the ranks of international universities at all levels, the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, visited the Iraqi Ministry of Health and was received by Dr. Hani Musa Badr Al-Uqabi, the Technical Representative To the Minister of Health, the Acting Minister of Health and Environment and Dr. Zamil Al-Araibi, Director General of Planning, Development and Human Resources in the Ministry.

Her Excellency has obtained approval to open, for the very first time, the evening study for the prosthetics department at Al-Dor Technical Institute, as well as working on transferring the medical staff from the Ministry of Health to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. On the other hand, Her Excellency stressed the need to create specializations that keep pace with the labor market, as it is the natural stage for the university’s movement to keep pace with developments in all fields, which cannot be ignored in the requirements of the labor market, which works to increase the value, appreciation, and demand for higher education outputs to provide it with what it needs from the cadres in order to contribute to building Our new developed Iraq through the involvement of the “labor market in determining the outputs of higher education and attention to labor market indicators” in the school curricula, and changing them in line with the market’s need, and paying attention to the quality of graduates, not their quantity.

With these achievements, the President of the Northern Technical University has proven day after day that she is constantly working tirelessly in developing the university’s work, expanding it horizontally in terms of expansion in the university’s departments and faculties, and vertically in providing it with new scientific staff and expertise, in addition to her tireless work in developing expertise as well. This resulted in the previous short period of agreements and scientific cooperation with Iraqi and Arab universities and other organizations and institutions.
