Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Kirkuk Technical Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. Ashti Mahdi Aref, the Women Empowerment Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Electrical Technologies, organized a workshop entitled (rationalization of electrical energy consumption) in the presence of the Dean of the Institute, department heads and a number of teachers staff and students,

The workshop included two lectures delivered in succession by:

• Engineer Mr. Muhammad Mustafa Muhammad / Associate Director of Kirkuk Electricity Distribution
• Engineer Mr. Idris Talib Fateh/ Kirkuk Electricity Distribution Department

The workshop aimed at the importance of social awareness to consolidate the principle of rationalizing the consumption of electric energy in our lives and in the Kirkuk governorate, and the benefits and importance of rationalization through presentations, introductory posters, and guidelines adopted by the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity.

The workshop came out with several recommendations, the most important of which are:

The importance of linking the concept of rationalizing electrical energy consumption with the progress of the industrial world, and the simple application methods that any simple citizen can apply in our governorate in particular, and the general benefit that will return to everyone by contributing to the steps of implementing this rationalization and increasing operating hours and avoiding extravagance and waste in various aspects of our lives.

The discussion was opened by the lecturers and attendees, all inquiries were answered and the importance of the topic of rationalizing electrical consumption was discussed.
