Kirkuk Technical Institute organizes a scientific course entitled (Ventilatory Respiration for Children)

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Kirkuk Technical Institute, the Department of Nursing Techniques organized a scientific course entitled (Ventilatory Respiration for Children). Delivered the lecture at the session:

  • Assistant teacher Fatima Fadel Saleh
  • Assistant teacher Haza Fadel Hussein

The course dealt with introducing the nature of CPR, a life-saving procedure that combines chest compressions and artificial respiration, which helps restore breathing and blood flow to the brain and other vital organs, in addition to hands-on training in CPR.

The course indicated that cardiopulmonary resuscitation is an emergency procedure that includes chest compressions, and artificial respiration when given correctly that can help restore breathing and blood flow to a person whose heart has stopped working. Among the causes that lead to cardiac arrest and the need for life-saving pulmonary resuscitation, such as drowning, suffocation, Electrocution, or poisoning.

CPR courses are often available through first aid programs. The basic skills are simple and usually take a few hours to learn.

The course aimed to:

  1. Introducing the participants to the CPR process for children.
  2. Educating the participants about its importance to the members of the community.
  3. Practical application of how to perform resuscitation operations and provide first aid.

The course concluded with the following conclusions:

It is necessary for everyone in the community to learn how to save a person’s life when necessary and to perform first aid. And to learn and train on how to save the life of others.
