Kirkuk Technical Institute organizes a scientific course entitled “Advanced Programmable Logic Controllers PLC”

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Ashti Mahdi Aref (Dean of the Institute), the Department of Electrical Technology organized a scientific course entitled (Advanced in Programmable Logic Controllers PLC), which lasted for two consecutive weeks.
The lecturer:

  1. Mr. Arkan Abbas Mohammed / Bachelor’s degree _ Ministerial Contract / Course Director.
    2 Teacher. Irshad Bektas Saleh / Head of Department.
    The course dealt with: the importance of programmable logic controllers and how to use them in the field of automation in our daily lives, clarifying the producing companies, as well as how to program PLCs from Schneider and Delta.
    The session indicated:
    The importance of these programs in official and educational institutions.
    The course aims to:
    Teaching participants to program PLC in the language of LADDER in a practical way through the application of many experiments on the boards in the laboratory, as well as dealing with different types of PLC and how to program screens and fix errors that can occur during work, whether software or hardware.
    The session came out with several recommendations, including:
    1- The use of the PLC is very accurate in processing the program.
    2- In terms of maintenance, it is very easy because correcting errors is in modifying lines of code only or in simplified hardware.
    3- Reducing the cost of setting up factories that do not need a large number of relays, contactors, timers, counters, and wires that are used in the classic control.
    4- Withstand difficult conditions of high or very low temperatures.
    5- Increasing production in production lines
