The course dealt with: introductory lectures about the vaccine, the history of vaccines, the types of current Coronavirus vaccines and some of their side effects, how to refrain from receiving the Covid-19 vaccine for pregnant and lactating women, and whether it affects reproduction and DNA or interacts with it in any way

She also addressed the fact that COVID-19 vaccines do not contain any animal products.

The course showed: the vaccine is a biological preparation that provides active acquired immunity against a specific disease. The vaccine typically contains an intermediate that resembles the disease-causing microorganism and is often made from weakened or killed forms of the bacteria, its toxins, or one of its surface proteins. This mediator stimulates the body’s immune system to recognize this germ as a threat to it and destroy it and keep a copy of it so that the immune system can identify it and destroy it easily if any of these organisms attacked it again.

Learn about the types of coronavirus vaccines

1. The complete virus vaccine includes the Chinese-origin Sinopharma and Sinovac vaccine, which is based on the use of an inactivated version of the Covid 19 virus.
2. The DNA vaccine is one of the modern technologies that depend on the use of the immune-stimulating part inside the genetic material of the Covid-19 virus.
3. Giving the Pfizer vaccine to people 16 years of age and older in the form of two doses separated by 21 days. The American Moderna vaccine was also produced using the same technology used to produce the Pfizer vaccine
4. The viral vector vaccine is one of the most prominent vaccines produced with this technology, Johnson, AstraZeneca or Oxford, and Sputnik

The course concluded:

1. Vaccines are one of the best and most successful ways to prevent many infectious diseases, including the emerging coronavirus.
2. It is recommended to take the vaccine as soon as you get the opportunity.
3. Achieving community immunity to end this epidemic shortly.
