Iraqi universities and academic institutions achieved important competitive results in the Scimago World Ranking for 2022, which evaluated eight thousand and eighty-four institutions around the world.

The results showed (https://www.scimagoir.com/rankings.php?country=IRQ) thirty-nine Iraqi institutions and universities, including twenty-eight governmental universities, topped by Baghdad, Al-Mustansiriya, and Technology universities.
