he Minister of Education participates in the opening of the Knowledge Summit in Dubai and confirms the response of Iraqi educational institutions to the requirements of sustainable development

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel Sahib, participated in the opening activities of the seventh edition of the Knowledge Summit 2022 organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoom Foundation in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program.

On the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the summit, which is held in Dubai under the slogan (Protecting Humanity and Challenging Pandemic), and in the presence of the Minister of Education, Mr. Ali Hamid Al-Dulaimi, several Iraqi academic personalities, and a group of experts and officials from different countries of the world, the Iraqi educational institutions confirmed the progress of Iraqi educational institutions in enhancing international academic reputation and achieving Quality requirements and scientific response for sustainable development, noting that Iraq has won an important competitive position in the Global Knowledge Index for the year 2021, which was launched in its fifth edition by the United Nations Development Program and the Mohammed bin Rashid Foundation, and that the higher education sector has achieved the highest assessment of the Iraqi state sectors related to knowledge.

It is worth noting that the Knowledge Summit includes physical and virtual sessions that highlight issues of common global concern and review the options and solutions provided by knowledge contexts to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
