Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Omar Khalil Ahmed, Dean of the Hawija Technical Institute, the Department of Mechanical Technologies organized a scientific symposium on “Types of inverters and their main parts.” The lecture was delivered by:

• Assistant Professor Dr. Iyad Abdel Ramadan
• Teacher Ahmed Mohamed Abbas

It was attended by a number of the institute’s employees.

The seminar dealt with the types of inverters of all kinds, solar and non-solar, and their main parts, knowing the differences between those types, including what is used in homes, shops, state departments, laboratories, water pumps, etc., and knowing the difference for each of them.

The seminar indicated:

Learn about the types of inverters

• Identify the basic parts of solar and ordinary energy
• The types available in the market and knowing the good ones according to the need for use or work.

The seminar aimed at:

• Introducing the participant to the types of inverters and knowing the good ones.
• Indicating the basic differences in the types of these non-solar solar inverters.

The symposium came out with several recommendations, including:

1. It is necessary to identify each type of existing inverter because the work need (type of use) requires that.
2. Knowing the good and bad types and knowing them through some criteria for this purpose.
3. It is necessary to know the specifications of the inverters and some basic parts of solar energy systems and the possibility of connecting them or not.
