Hawija Technical Institute is organizing a scientific symposium on (Comparison of MPPT and PWM Inverters)

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Omar Khalil Ahmed, Dean of the Institute.

The Department of Mechanical Technologies organized a scientific symposium on (Comparison of the types of inverters, type MPPT, PWM(

The lecture was delivered by  the assistant Professor Dr. Iyad Abdel Ramadan / Teaching at the Institute, and was attended by a number of employees and students of the Institute.

The seminar dealt with:

  • Definition of the functions of solar inverters
  • Solar Inverter Components
  • Types of charging regulators type MPPT, PWM
  • Comparison of the types of charging regulators

The seminar indicated:

The possibility of using different types of charging regulators according to the capacity of the solar panels in terms of capacity, voltage, current, and the ability to deal with each type.

The symposium aimed to comparison between inverters with charging regulators type MPPT, PWM.

The seminar came out with the following recommendations:

Inverters with charging regulators type MPPT are better in practical terms than charging regulators type PWM because the type MPPT is characterized by the use of energy received from solar panels more efficiently than in the case of charging regulators type PWM where the excess voltage is converted into a current that charges the batteries (batteries) from During this increase and also the ease of dealing with the intensity of charging the batteries through a program that allows the user to control the device, but the cost problem for these devices remains higher than the PWM charging regulators.
