The start of the first semester exams for graduate students at the Technical College of Engineering/Mosul
2025-01-08Under the patronage of the President of Northern Technical University- Prof. Dr. Alya’ Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of vice president for scientific affairs-Prof. Dr. Omar Rafi’ Mahmood,
CDC organized a workshop entitled “Food Security: Ensuring the Human Right to Food”, with the participation of a group of researchers and university students. The workshop addressed the topic of food security as one of the main pillars of achieving sustainable development and discussed the challenges facing food security at the local and global levels, with a focus on the role of universities in spreading awareness and promoting a culture of sustainable food production. The workshop concluded with the following concluding recommendations:
1) Encouraging sustainable agriculture: investing in modern technology to reduce losses and increase local production.
2) Diversification of food sources: Support agricultural diversification to reduce dependence on certain crops and promote nutritional stability.
3) Improving food distribution: Strengthen supply chains to ensure food reaches all groups, including remote areas.
4) Proper nutrition awareness: Launching educational campaigns on the importance of healthy nutrition and its role in improving public health.
