Dor Technical Institute organizes a course on symptoms, signs, and methods of urinary tract infection)

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Technical Institute Al-Dur, the Department of Prosthetics at the Institute organized a scientific course entitled (Symptoms, signs, and methods of urinary tract infection) at Al-Khwarizmi Hall. The lecture delivered by:

  • Assistant Professor Dr. Maqsoud Adel Mahmoud, the teaching assistant in the department.

The session included the following topics:

  1. The first axis: the urinary system, its structure, the precise structure of the kidney, and its function.
  2. The second axis: an explanation of the importance of the periodic examinations of the kidneys, which include general urine examination, blood urea, serum creatinine, in addition to the various symptoms that accompany infection with different bacteria.
  3. The third axis: identifying the different types of germs and the extent of the danger caused by each type, and one of the most important germs that the session touched on E.coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus saprophyticus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus mirabilis in addition to the parasite Trichomonas vaginalis.

The course aimed at:

  1. Identifying the urinary system structurally, anatomically, and functionally.
  2. Identifying the most important pathogens that cause infections in the urinary system.
  3. Introducing the importance of maintaining the urinary system and the need for periodic examinations of the college
  4. preventing bacterial, parasitic, and fungal infections.
  5. The importance of early diagnosis of urinary tract infections.

The course indicated:

  1. The necessity of periodic examinations to ensure the integrity of the urinary system and to ensure that there are no bacterial, parasitic, and fungal infections. These examinations include
  2. GUE
  3. Blood urea test Bl. Urea
  4. Creatinine test S. Creatinine
  5. In addition to urine culture and antibiotic sensitivity testing
  6. Urine for culture and Sensitivity
