A technical master’s thesis was discussed at the College of Agricultural Technology / Mosul, specializing in plant production techniques tagged (a study of the effect of effective compounds of some medicinal plants and soaking periods in the culture of three varieties of barley)
The thesis presented by the student “Mohamed Ahmed Ibrahim” aimed at:
Determining the best extracts used in the study in terms of their effect on the growth and yield of barley cultivar.

• Reaching the best soaking period for the seeds before placing them in the culture trays.
  Choosing the best variety for growth and production.
• Determine the best triple overlap between the three factors.
  The study reached several recommendations, the most important of which are:
• Relying on plant extracts in soaking barley seeds before germination in germination trays, including coriander extract.
• Carrying out studies and research on other plant extracts in the production of culture medium.
• Soaking for (12) hours of barley seeds before placing them in the germination trays.
• Using the barley variety Basil in cultivation, and conducting studies and research on the introduction of other varieties of barley in the production of culture medium.
