Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and the supervision of the Dean of the Technical Institute, the role, the Department of Prosthetics at the Institute organized a workshop on environmental sustainability entitled Selling used books, and it is among the activities supervised by the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division of the Sustainability Program
It was delivered by the teacher, Dr. Salah Fadel Abdul-Jabbar, the head of the department, and attended by a number of university employees.
The workshop aimed to:
- Recognizing environmental sustainability in general.
- Statement of the importance of paper recycling in supporting sustainable development.
In conclusion, it showed the importance of:
- Participate in recycling operations and purchase recycled paper.
- Increasing society’s awareness of the importance of environmental sustainability in reducing negative impacts on land, soil, air, and water by reducing energy consumption and providing environmentally friendly products.
