Al-Door Technical Institute organizes a workshop entitled (Green Leadership)

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and the supervision of the Dean of the Technical Institute, the role, Prosthetics Department at the Institute organized a workshop entitled (Green Leadership) delivered by the assistant teacher Bassam Ali Khaled, the department’s rapporteur above, and it is among the sustainability workshops implemented by the scientific departments and in cooperation With the Division of Quality Assurance and University Performance for the current academic year. It was attended by default and via the zoom platform, several university affiliates.

The workshop aimed to:

  1. Encouraging educational staff on the subject of green leadership, as it encourages the importance of sustainability.
  2. Defining green leadership as one of the modern topics and strategic direction.
  3. To identify the areas and weaknesses suffered by some leaders in educational institutions in Iraq.
  4. Finding appropriate leadership solutions to overcome the weaknesses in the issue of environmental sustainability.

The workshop indicated the follwing:

  1. The necessity of continuous encouragement for the green leadership to accurately achieve its university goals and future directions to ensure the achievement of sustainable human resource management for itself and the community.
  2. The university administration relied on training and development programs for green leadership, which aims to increase development and innovation, and this contributes to acquiring cumulative knowledge and experience for leaders.
  3. The necessity of encouraging green leadership by identifying the ways of leadership work in the university environment and knowing the changes that occur to it continuously.
  4. Increasing the leaders’ ability to achieve sustainable human resource management and the necessity of evaluating their ability to contribute strategically by excelling in their performance, solving problems, and achieving their goals effectively.
