Al-Door Technical Institute organizes a course entitled “Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN)”

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Technical Institute, the role of the Department of Electronic Technologies at the Institute organized a course entitled “Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN)”.

Take turns giving lectures to:

  • The teacher is Dr. Rabah Abdul-Jabbar Jassim Khalaf
  • Mr. Laith Ezbet Hamid

It was attended by a number of the institute’s employees.

The course aimed to provide a general explanation of wireless sensor networks, their characteristics, and their uses General explanation on WSN: characteristics and usage.

The course centered around:

  1. Introduction to wireless sensor networks
  2. What is WSN?
  3. general uses
  4. Applications of WSN.
  5. Explanation of the main parts of these networks: sensors, sensor node, the base station
  6. Explanation of the main parts of WSN: sensors, sensor nodes, and base station.
  7. The protocols used in these networks
  8. Main protocols used in WSN.
  9. Properties
  10. Characteristics of WSN.
  11. Benefits, limitations, and harms
  12. Advantages, disadvantages, and requirements.

The course indicated the establishment of other courses and workshops to learn more about these networks, which are considered one of the important types of information exchange over the Internet and have many applications.
