Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Technical Institute, the role of the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques, this October, and within the scientific activities implemented by the departments for the current academic year, a course entitled “Bacterial diagnosis between modern and traditional methods”.
The course lasts for three days, the following lectures are given:

- Assistant teacher Lubna Amer Muhammad
The course aimed to:
- Familiarity with the methods of collecting bacterial samples.
- Explain how the process of taking samples and cultivating them on the culture media is carried out.
- Explanation of the traditional detection methods used in laboratories.
- Explanation of modern detection methods using advanced detection devices.
- Compare the two methods and explain the advantages and benefits of each.
The session indicated:
- Follow all safety steps when handling samples.
- Prevention of contamination through sterilization and the speed used when taking and culturing samples.
- Using modern and traditional methods in diagnosing pathological bacterial samples and obtaining positive results.
