Al-Dawr Technical Institute organizes a seminar entitled Modern Communication Tools

Under the patronage of the President of the Technical University, the Department of Electronic Technologies at the Institute organized a symposium entitled “Modern communication tools”, which was delivered by the assistant teacher Abdullah Amer Assem, the lecturer in the department, in which a number of the Institute’s employees participated.

The seminar aimed to:

  1. An overview of the most important differences between generations of communications.
  2. Getting to know the institutions responsible for setting standards and special protocols for generations of communications.
  3. Recognizing the most important features of IMT 2020 (5G) vision.

The seminar indicated:

5G networks have the advantage of being able to transfer a huge amount of data much faster, connect a very large number of devices reliably, and process very large amounts of data with minimal delay, as 5G technologies connect people, things, data, applications, transportation systems and cities In intelligent, networked communication environments through applications for smart homes, smart buildings, smart cities, 3D video, work and play in cloud computing, telemedicine, virtual and augmented reality, massive machine-to-machine communications, industrial automation, and self-driving cars. 3G and 4G networks are currently facing challenges in supporting these services.
