The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings is one of the most important global rankings, relying on a set of indicators to measure university performance. The scores are calculated based on five main criteria. The 2024 rankings are based on the following standards and weights:

Teaching (Learning Environment) 30%: Includes teaching reputation, faculty-to-student ratio, number of PhD holders, institutional income, and overall learning environment.
Research Environment 30%: Measures research reputation, research income, and number of published papers per faculty member.
Research Quality (Citations) 30%: Focuses on the impact of university research and the number of citations per research.
International Outlook 7.5%: Includes the percentage of international students and staff, and international research collaborations.
Industry Income 2.5%: Measures the university’s ability to transfer knowledge through innovations and collaborations with industrial sectors.

This success reflects Northern Technical University’s commitment to academic excellence and to providing an innovative learning and research environment that supports the aspirations of both students and the local and international academic community.
