The Technical Institute / Kirkuk organizes a scientific symposium within the sustainable development program entitled Climate Impact on Energy

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the Presidency of the Northern Technical University, in cooperation with the Quality Assurance Division and the Department of Electronic Technologies at the Technical Institute / Kirkuk, organized a scientific symposium entitled (Climate Impact on Energy), in which the lecture was delivered by: Gentlemen:

  • Instructor Ali Necdet Nusrat (Head of the Department of Electronic Technologies(
  • Instructor Irshad Bektas Salih (Course of the Department of Electrical Technologies(

The symposium dealt with methods of forecasting wind and rain using artificial intelligence functions

The symposium showed the optimal use of artificial intelligence and how to predict the direction and speed of the wind, as well as the amount of rain and the extent of its impact on renewable energy. Some cases have been implemented in practice about predicting wind speed using artificial intelligence.

The symposium aims to introduce the methods of forecasting, the speed, and direction of wind and rain, based on previous databases that can be used for future prediction, which leads to a direct reflection by knowing the increase or decrease in energy production.

The symposium came out with several conclusions, including:

  • Take advantage of artificial intelligence functions that fall into the field of climate prediction
  • Conducting climate prediction experiments using calculator programs, and Python is an example.
