Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University and the supervision of the Dean of the Technical Institute, Al-Dour, the Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies, and through the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division at the Institute, organized an electronic scientific workshop entitled (The Concept of Sustainable Development) in which: – Mrs. Liqaa Sayar Aswad Ali, attended by several university employees.
The workshop aimed to:
1- Introducing the concept of sustainable development and knowing the importance and benefits of sustainable development.
2- In 2015 all UN Member States adopted the Sustainable Development Goals to eradicate poverty, reduce inequality and build more peaceful and prosperous societies by 2030.

3. The Sustainable Development Goals, also known as the “Global Goals,” are a call to action to create a world where no one is left behind.
   The workshop indicated:
   The importance of statement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 goals, which were approved by all member states of the United Nations in September 2015, draw a far-sighted road map and aim for sustainable prosperity and equality, while simultaneously striving to preserve natural resources.
   In addition to the necessity of activating and introducing legislation for protecting and improving the environment in all work sectors and aspects of different life activities.
