The Department of Immediate Aid at the Institute organized an electronic symposium and via the Google meet platform entitled “plagiarism Program and Scientific Research”, the lecture was delivered by:

• Assistant teacher Muhannad Imad Majeed, the lecturer in the above department, and a number of university employees participated in it.

The symposium included several topics, including:

1. What is a plagiarism program and what are its types?
2. Clarifying the concept of plagiarism among researchers and knowing the percentages allowed while writing theses and scientific research

Course objectives:

1. The course aims to familiarize the scientific researcher with all research requirements and to educate researchers about the dangers of plagiarism
2. Not to rely on research papers published on the Internet that have no sources, but rather to rely on research papers and solid scientific research that have reliable sources.
3. Organizing other seminars to avoid the abuse of various scientific and humanitarian disciplines and taking care of them.

The seminar indicated:

1. The necessity of holding continuous seminars for teachers and students about plagiarism and the importance of avoiding it in writing research and scientific theses
2. Avoid using articles and scientific research published in predatory journals
3. Drafting the speech by the researcher himself in his own style when writing the scientific research in order to avoid deception as much as possible.
