The Technical Institute is organizing a workshop entitled (Environmental Sustainability)

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University and under the supervision of the Dean of the Technical Institute, the role of the Department of Accounting Techniques at the Institute organized a workshop entitled (Environmental Sustainability) delivered by Mrs. Alia Ibrahim Hussein from the above department and attended by a number of university employees

The workshop aimed to:

  1. Identifying environmental sustainability, its dimensions, and the steps to achieve it.
  2. A statement that attention to the quality of products must take into consideration the environmental aspect, reduce pollutants emitted from manufacturing processes, and reduce waste of used resources.
  3. Creating theoretical knowledge about the concept of environmental sustainability, as it is one of the relatively recent concepts and showing its importance for organizations and society as a whole.

The workshop indicated:

  1. The importance of advancing the environmental reality in a more orderly and acceptable manner than those current random practices, which aim at best to comply with environmental laws and legislation.
  2. Focus on many projects rooted in environmental sustainability such as reforestation, conservation of wetlands, and protection of natural areas from resource harvesting.
  3. Preserving natural resources and developing alternative sources of energy while reducing pollution and damage to the environment.
