The Technical Institute is organizing a cultural symposium on domestic violence of all kinds in society.

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, President of the University, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Maha Al-Taif Jassim, Dean of the Institute, the Women Empowerment Committee, in cooperation with the Media and Relations Division at the Institute, organized a cultural dialogue symposium titled “Domestic Violence of its Kinds in Society” and delivered by:

  1. Colonel Ali Fanar Khattab – Officer of the Community Police Detachment in Al-Dour District
  2. M.D. Shaima Ibrahim Taha, a teacher in the Legal Administration Department at the Institute.
  3. Mrs. Manal Mahdi Saleh is a member of the Women Empowerment Committee at the Institute.
    It was attended by the Dean, her assistants, the heads of departments at the institute, Colonel Jamal Hassan Ahmed, director of the Women’s Affairs Department in Salah al-Din Police, and Eng. Shahla Akram al-Bayati, director of the Women’s Empowerment Department in the governorate, and a large number of the institute’s employees and students
    The symposium dealt with: – Defining domestic violence and electronic blackmail and citing some cases that occurred on the ground and which the family suffered from as a result of this behavior contrary to morals, religion, custom and traditions.
    The seminar aimed to:
    1- Educating the largest number of segments of society.
    2- Raising awareness to reduce domestic violence, its causes and causes, and what it reflects on the family in terms of material and psychological damage.
    3- Informing women of their legal and legal rights.
    4- Educating about the role and importance of the community police in raising awareness of such cases, such as extortion and others. .
    The symposium indicated the importance of addressing all negative phenomena that affect women in particular and society in general, with the aim of building a conscious, educated and tolerant society away from violence and extremism.
