Under the auspices of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Sami Reda Aslan, Dean of the Engineering Technical College of Kirkuk, the Department of Power Mechanics Techniques Engineering organized an electronic workshop entitled How to write sober scientific research and methods of publication in international journals with scientific impact factor. The lecture was delivered in the electronic workshop by:

• -Prof. Dr. Fayadh Muhammad Abd, College of Engineering, Tikrit University
• -Prof. Dr. Adnan Muhammad Hussein, Head of the Department of Power Mechanics Techniques Engineering

The workshop aims to learn the basics of writing research and how to submit research to reputable scientific journals. The lecturers talked about how to determine international refereed journals and the approved standards for journals

Introducing researchers to the importance of scientific research, knowing its methods and types, and defining its tools and requirements. The workshop included two axes:

• The first: is the steps that the researcher takes to write his research in a correct scientific manner and to reach the sober research that is published in international journals.
• The second: Includes the software tools that the researcher needs to write his research in a correct scientific manner, including EndNote, which is used to coordinate and manage references in scientific research, and White Smoke, which is used to review and proofread English texts (Grammar Checker) and improve the level of writing.

The workshop came out with several recommendations, including the need to support the researcher and provide the research environment in the educational institution – encouraging external publication and cooperation with international educational institutions through joint supervision, and twinning between reputable universities.
