The President of the Northern Technical University was hosted by the Nineveh Governorate Office alongside a joint government delegation to follow up on government universities’ projects.

The Nineveh Governorate Office, represented by the Governor of Nineveh, Mr. Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil, received the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alyaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, during an official visit accompanied by a joint government delegation. The delegation included representatives from the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers / Department of Projects and School Buildings, and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Department of Reconstruction and Projects, headed by Mr. Wasim Watheq, Assistant Director of Reconstruction, in addition to directors of general planning and projects, as well as representatives of the universities within the governorate.

The meeting witnessed discussions on the status of projects related to the newly established government universities in Nineveh Governorate, within the framework of the continuous follow-up of new government university projects in several governorates. The discussions also addressed future plans and mechanisms for implementing educational and academic projects in a manner that contributes to the development of the infrastructure of the higher education sector.

Both sides emphasized the importance of accelerating the pace of work on university projects and providing the necessary requirements to complete them according to the specified timelines, in a way that supports the educational process and enhances the academic and service environment for students and educational institutions in Nineveh Governorate.
