Based on the invitation submitted by the Islamic World Organization for Education, Science, and Culture, the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and with the nomination of His Excellency the Honorable Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, participated in the work of the fifth session of the University Presidents Forum, which was held in the city of Islamabad / Pakistan to study the challenges and find solutions to them and enhance opportunities for cooperation in the fields of higher education, research, and development in the Islamic world.
More than 60 universities from different countries and more than 200 universities from Pakistan participated in this forum. Several workshops and meetings were held to identify the challenges facing universities and develop solutions for the development and sobriety of the universities of Islamic countries.
On the sidelines of the forum, the President of the University met with several university presidents and discussed the possibility of opening horizons of scientific cooperation between the two sides through the exchange of students and faculty members and the promotion of scientific research by activating the launch program (study in Iraq), which was recently launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and was agreed upon with them. About accepting foreign students for primary and higher studies according to an approved mechanism after obtaining official approvals.
