The President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, inaugurated today the first Green Mosul Forum, which was organized by our university in cooperation with the Mosul Eye Foundation and the University of Mosul under the auspices of the Crisis Center of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. Universities, academic and research institutions, disaster management centers and other governmental and non-governmental institutions, local and international organizations, and civil society organizations in pursuit of educating the community about climate impact and ways to contain it through increasing vegetation cover and optimal use of water resources, encouraging agriculture and food industries, improving agricultural development, reclamation of agricultural land and intensifying tree planting And the use of green sources to produce green energy, reduce heat emissions, use and develop alternative and clean energy and support it greatly under the slogan of the Green University, which was launched by our university last April, which embodies the unlimited ambition of our university and a looming future vision for a green university in the green city of Mosul.

Our university is still advancing its orientation, goals, and development paths towards achieving the goal by supporting development projects that positively impact the environment towards a clean environment. And the university’s contribution to the Nineveh Green Initiative launched by the Mosul Eye Foundation and other projects to improve the environment is part of our role on this path. As a northern technical university, we are in continuous support of any activity in the interest of environmental reform, sustainable development, building green infrastructure, and green projects.

The opening ceremony included the presentation of several lectures presented by the university’s teachers in this regard. After the opening ceremony, the Mosul Eye Foundation presented the university president with a certificate of appreciation and the forum shield in appreciation and appreciation for her endless support for the institution in serving our dear province of Nineveh. The meeting was attended by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Rafea Mahmoud, the Dean of the Mosul Technical Institute and his assistants, and several directors of the departments of the University Presidency.
