The President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, attended the periodic meeting of the technical universities and the Technical Education Authority, in the presence of the heads of technical universities, the heads of the sectorial committees, representatives of the Ministry of Education, Labor and Social Affairs, and the representative of the Social Service Council, which was held at the Southern Technical University in Basra Governorate .
The meeting began with the welcome of the President of the Southern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Rabie Hashem Al-Abbsi, to attend, and then the meeting’s agenda was presented by Prof. Dr. Abdul-Mohsen Naji Al-Muhaisen, which included a presentation of the directives of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, followed by a discussion of job descriptions for graduates of institutes and technical colleges and their conformity for the purposes of appointment In addition to discussing the following paragraphs :

The meeting was also attended by MP Dr. Yaseen Hassan Taher, giving a speech on this occasion in which he expressed his support for technical educational institutions. The meeting also included a speech delivered by the president of our university in which she called on the relevant authorities to support technical and vocational education
  institutions to prepare cadres Able to produce skillfully to supplement the labor market, which will push the country’s economy forward and at the level of the public and private sectors in one track .
  At the end of the meeting, the President of the University presented a bouquet of flowers and a university shield in appreciation of the President of the Southern Technical University and thanked him for the warm reception. In turn, His Excellency presented a kind gift in appreciation of the President of our University for her efforts and excellence in serving the educational process and for her bearing the trouble of traveling to attend the meeting .
