The Northern Technical University organizes the Northern Technical University Futsal Championship (Nineveh site) for its staff.

Under the patronage of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and supervised by the Assistant President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Prof. Dr. Thanoon Younis Thanoon, the Student Activities Department held the Northern Technical University Futsal Championship (Nineveh site) for employees. The tournament began with a match between the Agricultural Technical College team and the Medical Technical Institute team, which ended with a victory for the Agricultural Technical College, scoring 4 goals to none. The second match resulted in a win for the Mosul Technical Institute, with a score of 6 goals to 2 against the Administrative Technical College. In the third match, the University Presidency team won 6 goals to 1 against the Engineering Technical College. The tournament will continue throughout this week, with three matches scheduled for the second round tomorrow. The goal of this championship is to enhance sports activity at the university and improve the physical fitness of the staff.
