The Northern Technical University organizes a workshop on the role of laws in protecting students and employees.

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Aliaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the Women’s Affairs Unit organized a workshop on the role of laws in protecting students and employees.

The workshop, organized in collaboration with the Student Affairs Department and delivered by instructor Yahya Ahmed Yahya, M.A., covered:

· Guiding students on the necessity of adhering to laws and regulations within the university campus and the importance of mutual respect among students, professors, and staff.
· The workshop was attended by a number of NTU affiliates and students.
· Protecting student rights and ensuring a safe environment for them, maintaining academic rigor and reputation, and enhancing mutual respect between professors and staff.

The lecture aimed to highlight the importance of applying the legal rules and regulations outlined in the Student Affairs Procedures Guide to protect the rights of our dear students and ensure compliance with legal controls, including:

· Adherence to the uniform dress code.
· Prohibition of political activities and partisanship.
· Prohibition of using mobile phones or computers in a manner offensive to public morals and decency.
· Absolute prohibition of attending university under the influence of drugs, and prohibiting students from carrying weapons of any kind, whether licensed or unlicensed.
· Necessity of adhering to the instructions issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Department of Studies, Planning, and Follow-up, as contained in the Student Affairs Procedures Guide, which includes a list of student discipline regulations.

It is worth noting that the Women’s Affairs Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has directed the implementation of the executive plan for the National Iraqi Women’s Strategy.
