Under the direct guidance of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and with the supervision and presence of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Rafi Mahmoud, the Division of Control of Handling of Hazardous and Toxic Chemical and Biological Substances, the Central CBRN Team, and the Civil Defense Division / Follow-up Department organized In the presidency of the university, and in cooperation with the Directorate of Civil Defense and the Deanship of the Mosul Technical Institute, a field practice of the process of dealing with a chemical spill within a scientific laboratory and how to evacuate a building in the Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies at the Mosul Technical Institute. And Mr. Dean of the Agricultural Technical College, Professor Dr. Shehab Ahmed Youssef, the administrative assistant of the Mosul Technical Institute, the head of the medical laboratories department, and several teachers and students at the Rashidiya site
Where this field practice was organized and supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Fawaz Fadel Ali, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department and member of the CBRN University Committee, and Assistant Professor Dr. Sama Adnan Raouf, member and head of the CBRN University Team and responsible for the Chemical Handling Control Division and on behalf of the Civil Defense Directorate Share Colonel Saad Hammadi, an officer of the Media and Relations Division in the Directorate within Nineveh Governorate, Major Muhammad Saadi, responsible for the CBRN unit in the directorate, and Mr. Subhi Salman Abdullah, responsible for the Civil Defense Division at the university, as well as several officers and ranks in the Civil Defense Directorate in the governorate, and a group of students and professors from the Medical Laboratory Techniques Department and the Department Pharmacy Technologies at Mosul Technical Institute and Agricultural Technical College
The practice included procedures for the correct handling of hazardous chemicals in the event of their spillage, clarification of the correct use of emergency exits, and the implementation of evacuations for students and department staff in the event of any emergency event.
