Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the qualifiers for the futsal championship for the northern region were opened today, which is hosted by our university in cooperation with the governmental and private universities of Nineveh Governorate and the University College of Knowledge from Anbar Governorate.

The opening took place this morning in the sports hall of the University of Mosul, and a number of matches were held, including those held in the sports hall of our university. The results were as follows:

• The Tikrit University team defeated Al-Hadba University with nine goals to two.
• The Diyala University team defeated the Nineveh University team by nine goals to one.
• Tomorrow, God willing, the Northern Technical University team will meet with the Hamdaneya University team, and at ten o’clock in the morning the at Mosul University sports hall. All the best to our university team.

This tournament will continue until three teams from the northern region can nominate to participate in the Northern, Central, and Southern Iraqi Universities Championship, which will be held at the beginning of the second semester, God willing.
