Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Shahla Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Qader, Dean of the Technical Institute of Mosul, the Department of Agricultural Mechanization Techniques organized a course entitled (the main units operating in the grain harvester)

present in it:

• Mr. Farouk Dawas Mahmoud / Master’s degree, ministerial contract
• Othman Al-Sayid Abdul-Jabbar Muhammad / Masters M.R. agricultural engineers.

Aim of the course:

1. Understand the meaning of the term (harvest).
2. Demonstrating the advantages of automated harvesting by comparing it with manual harvesting.
3. What are direct harvest and indirect harvest?
4. Transmission devices in the harvester.
5. The main units operating in the combine harvester, their parts, how they work, their organization, and calibration.
6. Loss of grain, its types, and locations of grain loss in the harvester units, and its causes.
