In compliance with the principle of complementarity between the legislative and executive authorities and in pursuit of the objectives of the public interest, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdul-Saheb, and a number of advanced owners attended the hosting session called by the Iraqi Council of Representatives to discuss a range of academic affairs in institutions of higher education and scientific research.

In his speech, the Minister called for the creation of new government universities that would respond to the population growth indicator, the allocation of a financial budget that advances the infrastructure of Iraqi universities, the formation of a Supreme Council for Education, and the support of the Ministry of Higher Education and its formations by working according to its reform plan that achieves the goals of sustainable development.

The attendees exchanged views on some of the topics for discussion, and the meeting concluded an agreement to hold a meeting of the opinion board at the headquarters of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on Sunday, March 27, 2022 to present the expansion files, the complementary role, the results of appointing the first, operating contracts, and taking the appropriate decision that meets the requirements of public interest and community service.
