Under the auspices of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Ashti Mahdi Aref, Dean of the Kirkuk Technical Institute, the closed five-star championship activities were launched at the Institute for teachers and staff, with the participation of (8) teams in the closed sports hall at the Institute, which was organized by the Activities Division Students and in cooperation with the Department of Media and Public Relations.
The Director of the Student Activities Division at the Institute stated that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body, and based on this matter, this tournament was launched, which enhances the spirit of love and cooperation between teachers and employees, adding that this tournament came to promote health and the physical aspect and to strengthen social ties as well as breaking the routine that the employee goes through by daily working hours; Indicating that the Northern Technical University, with all its formations, is a source of knowledge and inspiration and a mainstay for spreading sports awareness.
Indicating that the tournament system is the group system if the first day match ends with the victory of the Deanship team over the engineering team, and the tournament continues over the coming days according to the marital arbitration and with the participation of all scientific departments in the institute.
