Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar
The President of the respected university and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Maha Al-Taif Jassim, Dean of the Institute, the Immediate Ambulance Department organized a workshop entitled (What are the diseases of the age and how to prevent them) in June, delivered by Mrs. Safa Abdul Razzaq Kamel and Mr. Ali Adel Jassim) and a number of employees of the Institute participated in it
The workshop aimed at:
First: Understanding the causes of diseases:
These include the identification of pathogens, which contribute to the spread of diseases.
Second: Improving prevention and control: developing preventive strategies to reduce the spread of diseases.
Third: Strengthening health policies: improving health care systems based on research and studies.
Fourth: Health Awareness and Education: Increasing public awareness of the causes and symptoms of diseases and how to prevent them.
Fifth: Responding to health emergencies: Improving preparedness and response to health crises and sudden epidemics.
The workshop showed:
First: Developing health care systems: Improving the structure of health systems to be able to deal with contemporary diseases more effectively.
Second: Vaccination and prevention: Strengthening comprehensive vaccination programs against infectious diseases and the prevention of chronic diseases.
Third: Responding to health emergencies: Developing effective emergency plans and training health personnel to deal with epidemics and pandemics quickly and efficiently.
Fourth: Improving lifestyles: Encouraging healthy lifestyles that include proper nutrition, physical activity and avoiding smoking and alcohol.
Fifth: Promoting mental health: Providing psychological support and treatment services to people infected with or affected by contemporary diseases.
Sixth: Epidemiological surveillance: Developing epidemiological surveillance systems to monitor the spread of diseases and identify epidemiological trends.
These recommendations aim to create a healthier environment and reduce the impact of contemporary diseases on society, thus contributing to improving the quality of life and general well-being.
