Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision and presence of the Dean of the Health and Medical Technical College of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yawuz Nour Al-Din, the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques, in cooperation with the Women Empowerment Committee, organized an awareness-raising scientific symposium on the danger and prevention of hemorrhagic fever, entitled (Fever Hemorrhagic disease, its causes, diagnosis, and prevention methods), he gave the lecture at the symposium:

It was attended by a group of teachers and members of the college.

The symposium included addressing the phenotypic and genetic characteristics of the virus (Viral hemorrhagic fever Or VHF), which is a variety of animal and human diseases that may be caused by five different families of RNA viruses, filamentous viruses, basoviruses, flaviviruses, sand viruses, and rhabdomyoviruses.

All types of viral hemorrhagic fevers are characterized by hemorrhagic disorders and fever that can progress to high fever, shock, or, in many cases, death. Some pathogens have relatively mild symptoms, such as Scandinavian epidemic nephropathy, while others, such as the African Ebola virus, can cause severe, life-threatening diseases.

Methods of its intracellular reproduction, symptoms of hemorrhagic fever, and what are the ways to prevent it, and ways to deal with meat from the slaughterhouse to the kitchen. He also touched in the lecture on the spread of hemorrhagic fever globally, ways of infection, and how to prevent the disease.

The symposium aimed to show that viral hemorrhagic fevers spread through contact with infected animals or insects, and the viruses that cause viral hemorrhagic fevers live in many animal and insect families, and they mostly include mosquitoes, ticks, rodents or bats.

The symposium came out with several recommendations, the most important of which is the necessity of cooperation and spreading the necessary awareness among individuals to control the spread of the disease, and to prevent the slaughter of cows, sheep, and others outside government and licensed slaughterhouses, the need to close unlicensed butcher shops, and isolate suspected disease cases.
