The Hawija Technical Institute organized an electronic scientific course on (medicinal plants used in the pharmaceutical industry).
Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Omar Khalil Ahmed, Dean of the Institute.
The Department of Plant Production Technologies, in cooperation with the Department of Vision Screening Techniques, organized an electronic scientific course via the Google Meet application on (medicinal plants used in the pharmaceutical industry).

The session showed:
There are medicines extracted from wild plants and others from freely available sources, and the plants must be used according to the appropriate dose for use.
The course aimed:-
To inform society of the importance of returning to nature as food and medicine
The session came out with the following recommendations:
1. Through experiments, it became clear that Iraq has important sources and types of medicinal and aromatic herbs that must be preserved and appropriate methods must be found to exploit them in the pharmaceutical industry.
2. The necessity of paying attention to wild medicinal and aromatic plants by preserving them and exploiting them as a national wealth no less important than other natural wealth.
3. The necessity of setting appropriate specifications and standards in the medicinal and aromatic plants sector and organizing the profession (perfumery).
