Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, president of the esteemed university, and under the supervision of assistant professor Dr. Maha Al-Taif Jassim, dean of the Institute, and as part of the cultural activities carried out by the department, the Department of Pharmacy technologies at the institute organized, during this March, a seminar entitled (Suicide and its negative repercussions on Iraqi society), delivered by M. Dr. The target group was the students of the above Department.
The purpose of the seminar:
1.Highlighting the increasing number of suicides in society and identifying the reasons that lead people to commit suicide٢. And the extent of the impact of the changes brought about by globalization, the entry of means of communication, technology and rapid developments that have led to an increase in suicides.
The seminar showed:
1-carrying out seminars and seminars periodically and at all levels of society.
2-guiding students on how to deal with people with suicidal tendencies.
3-raising awareness of community members at all levels, including university students, on the negative impact of suicide and its repercussions on society.
4 – educating university students religiously about the point of view of the heavenly religions about the phenomenon of suicide.
