Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University and the supervision of the Dean of the College, Dr. Abdel Barr Ahmed Nouri, the Department of Plant Production Techniques concluded a course entitled Plant Genetics and Breeding. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Haitham Abdel Sattar.

The course covered:

The mechanism of transferring genetic traits, methods of plant breeding and improvement, and the most important modern methods of transferring genetic traits from one generation to another.

The course included:

• Expanding work in the field of genetics and plant breeding.
• Directing postgraduate students to work in this field.
• Attempting to introduce modern technologies such as devices and equipment in this field to keep pace with the development in this field.

Several faculty, staff, and students of the college participate in the course.
