Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Administrative Technical College, Assistant Professor Dr. Samir Taha Yassin, the Student Activities Unit at the Administrative Technical College organized the first popular poetry festival marked “Poetry Hymns”, which included a number of Mosul and university poets.

The poetry festival was attended by the Assistant President of the University for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Prof. Dr. Thanoun Younis Thanoun, the Dean of the College, the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, the heads of scientific departments, the student activities officer at the university and the college, and a group of professors, affiliates and students of the college. The festival included a variety of popular poetry activities, where Several poems containing different topics were recited, which carried all the meanings of beauty that resonated in the throats of poets whose tongues flowed from their tongues, such as the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, which sang the love of the homeland and spread the spirit of tolerance, giving, love and humanity.

On the sidelines of the ceremony, the participants were honored with certificates of appreciation by the Dean of the College, and the participants praised the role of the Northern Technical University, represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and the Dean of the College, for holding this festival.

The Dean of the College explained that these participations are among the student cultural activities that contribute to the development and promotion of the scientific and cultural march of students, develop their creativity, show their talents, and represent a gateway through which creators can enter everything that serves the country.
